Special Recognition Award – Mandy Riseborough

A special triple recognition award this month goes to finance team member Mandy Riseborough.

During the past year Mandy has set aside her own personal development for the benefit of the finance team and the whole company.

During lockdowns Mandy worked from home with two primary school aged children. She developed new streamlined procedures, absorbed the work of two new sites, navigated a change of software system and supported her colleague through the stresses of working apart.

In October Mandy returned to the office to excellently train her purchase ledger clerk successor ready for her own development to Assistant Financial Controller. But once again her own goals were set aside to train a second new team member due to impending maternity leave in the team.

Mandy was nominated by Finance & Legal Director Emma Walsh and, without collaboration, also by her colleagues Kantha (Director of Finance) and Dan (Financial Controller) who have also been patiently holding firm until Mandy can finally join them in her new role.

Emma Walsh commented: “Throughout the turmoil Mandy has never wavered from her calm, patient and methodical work ethic and her quirky sense of humour. This has not gone unnoticed and I know she will flourish in her next stage with the company.”

Added Kantha: “While training two new staff Mandy was still keen to learn and take on some of the tasks that only come around as part of the year end process. She always performs excellently in her own existing role and always keen to assist the team efficiently whenever possible.”
