Posche Club Lincs & Humberside Regions Track Day

AW Repair Group was delighted to sponsor Posche Club Lincs & Humberside Regions track day at Blyton park near Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

Anna Wooster, AW Repair Group’s Commercial Development Co-Ordinator, reports:

It was a blustery day but we were all set for a day of blowing out the cobwebs on and off the track!

Porsche owners from various regions signed up for the track day to give their own Porsches a blast around the track.

The Lincolnshire & Humberside region and invited guests were met at registration by the Blyton track owner Richard Ushers for a schedule of the day ahead.

Before setting off drivers enjoyed a hot breakfast and warm coffee whilst being introduced to their professional rally driver passenger who accompanied them around the track throughout the day.

I had never driven at a track day myself before so couldn’t let the opportunity pass and sat as a passenger in a Lotus with Richard Ushers and Event Secretary Gavin Marshall’s Porsche.

I was wearing a jacket and helmet for safety equipment and had a safety briefing before it was time to put the pedal to the metal.

The experience was fantastic, I just wish I was in the driving seat. Next time I most definitely will be.

It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone, even if you have never attended a Track day before.

After each session members of the Porsche Club socialised with each other, showed off their cars and took refuge from the wind in the AW Repair Group gazebo chatting with myself and managing director Andrew Walsh.

As Lincolnshire’s first and only Porsche Centre Approved Body Repairer we love to meet club members, chat and give car care advice. Luckily there were no mishaps on the tracks so we weren’t called into action!

A great day was had by all. Many thanks for the hospitality shown by Richard Ushers at Blyton and Porsche Club Regional Organiser Richard Watkinson.

AW Repair Group will be sponsoring the event again next year and we look forward to seeing you there.
