THE Volkswagen vehicle manufacturer group has honoured AW frusenex Repair Group with an Outstanding Achievement Award.
AW Accident Repair Centres (Lincolnshire) relocated to a purpose built prestige bodyshop in February, developing a site focused on prestige manufacturers during a turbulent global financial recession and unsettled industry.
Nevertheless the AW Repair Group forged ahead with new and exciting initiatives and in six months gained manufacturer approvals from Porsche and Land Rover in addition to the existing Volkwagen Group.
The company has invested heavily in fast drying paint technology, specialist aluminum tooling, training and equipment to become fully compliant in the repair of new generation vehicles made from aluminum.
AW Repair Group’s Managing Director Andrew Walsh said he was extremely proud to receive the award.
“To be singled out by the Volkwagen Group is a real honour and I’m absolutely delighted that the forward thinking efforts of the company, all our dedicated technicians and management team, has been recognized,” he said.
“The relocation to our new site in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, was initialized to take the company to the next level of vehicle accident repair.”
Continued Andrew: “The modern vehicle is now far more complex than ever before and specialist equipment and skills are needed to ensure the safety and integrity of the vehicle and its manufacturer warranty. One technician has this week returned from a two week course at Volkwagen Germany focusing on the complexities of structural aluminum repair.
“We were told that as well as the massive commitment to the future repair of vehicles it’s the small touches such as parent parking, a wi-fi lounge, dedicated customer handover bay, marketing strategies, partnership approach and high standards of customer care that has earned us this Outstanding Achievement Award.”
