AW Repair Group are proud to announce that their apprentices who joined AW following their first successful Apprentice Showcase Event in 2018 have passed their End Point Assessment through the IMI and are fully qualified Multi-Skilled Accident Repair Technicians.
Steve Hoe, Technical Development & VM Executive, AW Repair Group and Acting Chair, BRITT commented, “I am very proud of all the apprentices, they have all grown to become fantastic technicians. It has not been easy for them especially with the added obstacles along the way, the pandemic, and the ongoing issues with the EPA, making the apprenticeship programme longer than it would ordinarily be. However, they have used this time to grow their experience and knowledge.”
All apprentices have undertaken EV awareness training and achieved Level 3 ADAS qualifications, with some newly qualified technicians deciding to take the manufacturer training route to further their skillset.
Continued Steve, “The benefits of having in-depth training both at college and in the workplace in all areas of accident repair has paid dividends with all the apprentices having a great understanding and knowledge of the whole job from start to finish, regardless of what their future progression plan may be in this wonderful industry”.
AW’s Training & Apprenticeship Academy continues to grow with 24 apprentices across their group, training at Thatcham and EMTEC College with a new cohort set to join the group in the coming months.
