AW Apprentices First Week at Thatcham

HOT off the heels of the AW Apprentice Showcase in October, the first cohort of new learners are spending this week at the Thatcham Research Academy.

The enthusiastic apprentices are set to follow the Thatcham MET Apprentice course and this aptly named Realisation Week  will be introduced to the three-year pathway.

AW’s CEO Andrew Walsh, Group Operations Director James Dunn and Head of the AW Training and Apprentice Academy Steve Hoe also visited the apprentices at Thatcham to give words of advice and encouragement.

Steve Hoe said he was delighted to have enrolled the talent and see them in action so quickly.

“This week the group have been meeting their trainers, familiarising themselves with the programme and of course getting hands on with their new career,” he said. “The apprentices in this group have already spent time in branch with their AW mentor and our next group will be inducted shortly.

“It’s great to have such a quick turnaround from our showcase to being here at Thatcham and I’m really looking forward to seeing this enthusiasm and talent move forward.”

The apprentices will return to Thatcham every eight weeks.
