AW Repair Group was delighted to support a momentous celebration of motoring history this weekend.
British Racing Motors, founded by Raymond Mays in the small Lincolnshire town of Bourne, on Sunday marked the 50th anniversary of Graham Hill winning the Grand Prix in their race car.
In a poignant moment the champion’s son, Damon Hill, himself a Grand Prix winner, drove his father’s car through the Lincolnshire town as 25,000 enthusiasts lined the streets.
AW’s Commercial Development Co-Ordinator Anna Wooster commented: “We are so proud to have been involved in this fantastic day marking Bourne’s massive contribution to the world of motor racing. The atmosphere was fantastic as people joined together to witness this grand prix blend of old and new.”
