Meet our Apprentices

Josh

I am a Multi-Skilled Apprentice at Newark and joined AW in November 2017.

I didn’t want to go into further education, I wanted to learn a trade that I could turn into a career and enjoy. I’m really enjoying the working atmosphere and learning new skills. I enjoy working for AW because I am learning new skills and developing myself with the help of the team every day. I am always kept busy and enjoy the different variety of vehicles I work with. AW have provided me with support and the equipment I need to succeed.

Will

I joined AW in February 2018 at their Sleaford site as a Multi-skilled apprentice. I have enjoyed learning how to weld the most so far, but i’m looking forward to the other skills i’m going to be learning. An apprenticeship is a great way to train on the job, i’m able to pick up practical experience whilst the learning is still interesting. I chose AW as I wanted to work for a reputable company that I knew would make a life-long career. The course and qualification that have been designed by AW and the college is great.

Ryan

I joined AW as a Multi-skilled apprentice at their Denaby site in July 2017. I felt the best way to develop my skill set was to go down the apprenticeship route, to ensure I progressed to where I want to be in the future. The AW team are great, the team at Denaby are like a big family, there’s always someone happy to help or offer advice and support when it’s needed.
I can’t wait to get my hands on a Lamborghini Aventador to work on…you never know!

Leon

I am a multi-skilled apprentice at AW’s Markham Vale site and joined in December 2017.
I’ve always been interested in cars, I couldn’t think of anything else I wanted to do, so when this opportunity arose I grabbed it with both hands! AW is a great company, the workshops are so clean and modern – I couldn’t believe it! I like being part of a growing company, which will help to secure my future. I would like to thank AW for giving me this opportunity.

Jack

I am a multi-skilled apprentice based at Denaby and joined AW in April 2017. I really enjoy the panel aspect of the whole repair process. However, I’ve just started learning prep and paint and i’m already really enjoying it – I love the fact we can go down the multi-skilled route and see what skill we think suits us best, plus I like learning whilst i’m earning! AW have put so much effort and support into me and the other apprentices to help us progress, it’s really encouraging!

Charlie

I joined AW in November 2017 at the Nottingham site. I am very interested in cars, so this was the next step for me after I had completed my college course. I really enjoy the mechanical aspect of vehicles. However, I liked learning the dent pulling process – being able to transform a car before your eyes is brilliant. The hi-tech facility at Nottingham is great, it’s full of the latest technology and equipment which we get to use daily! I couldn’t recommend an apprenticeship in this industry any more.

Harvey

I joined AW in Nottingham in November 2017 as a multi-skilled apprentice. I really enjoyed learning how to plastic weld, but I really cannot wait to train further in my whites, in a spraybooth with a spray gun in my hand. I love being an apprentice within this industry and at AW, my day is very varied and i’m kept busy working on all sorts of cars, plus the support I get from the team is great, they’re always willing to help to progress my knowledge and further my skills.
