I am a Multi-Skilled Apprentice at Newark and joined AW in November 2017.
I didn’t want to go into further education, I wanted to learn a trade that I could turn into a career and enjoy. I’m really enjoying the working atmosphere and learning new skills.
I enjoy working for AW because I am learning new skills and developing myself with the help of the team every day. I am always kept busy and enjoy the different variety of vehicles I work with. AW have provided me with support and the equipment I need to succeed.
I joined AW in February 2018 at their Sleaford site as a Multi-skilled apprentice. I have enjoyed learning how to weld the most so far, but i’m looking forward to the other skills i’m going to be learning.
An apprenticeship is a great way to train on the job, i’m able to pick up practical experience whilst the learning is still interesting. I chose AW as I wanted to work for a reputable company that I knew would make a life-long career.
The course and qualification that have been designed by AW and the college is great.
I joined AW as a Multi-skilled apprentice at their Denaby site in July 2017 and moved to the Sherburn site in 2019. I felt the best way to develop my skill set was to go down the apprenticeship route, to ensure I progressed to where I want to be in the future.
The AW team are great, the team at Denaby are like a big family, there’s always someone happy to help or offer advice and support when it’s needed.
I can’t wait to get my hands on a Lamborghini Aventador to work on…you never know!
I joined AW in January 2019 at their Denaby Main site as a multi-skilled apprentice. I’m currently really enjoying the MET aspect of the multi-skilled role and enjoying the challenge of doing certain jobs on my own, the team are so supportive and helpful.
I have already completed a large repair using minimal filler from start to finish – apart from the paint aspect, it was great to see that completed!
I joined AW’s LV= sole supply site in Denaby Main in January 2019 as a multi-skilled apprentice. I really enjoy carrying out MET and Panel work and get great job satisfaction after carrying out a repair.
I’ve been doing a alot of repairs on my own from start to finish (except painting the cars) after just 1 year, which is great. The support from the team to help further my knowledge is appreciated too.
I joined AW’s Fast Finish centre in Derby in January 2019 as a multi-skilled apprentice. I’m really enjoying working on all different vehicles and that every job is different, it really broadens your knowledge quite quickly.
My favourite element of the repair process is panel, I like being able to see the lines in a panel. In the time i’ve been with AW i’m really happy with how i’ve progressed in such a short time and can’t wait to get stuck in to more repairs.
I joined AW Nottingham as a multi-skilled apprentice in January 2019. I really enjoy the fact i’m learning a trade that I can have a great career in whilst being paid.
I don’t currently have a favourite element of the repair process, i’m enjoying all aspects, MET, Panel & Paint. All the knowledge i’ve gained is invaluable, the team are great here, but being presented with an award at an industry even was special.
Jacob joined AW’s Derby LV sole supply site in January 2019. He is a multi-skilled apprenticeship currently really enjoying the paint aspect of the whole repair process.
He’s loves the people he works with and enjoys the working environment. His biggest achievement to date is learning how to paint a panel to a good finish, it gives him a great sense of satisfaction.
I joined AW in November 2017 at the Nottingham site. I am very interested in cars, so this was the next step for me after I had completed my college course. I really enjoy the mechanical aspect of vehicles.
However, I liked learning the dent pulling process – being able to transform a car before your eyes is brilliant. The hi-tech facility at Nottingham is great, it’s full of the latest technology and equipment which we get to use daily! I couldn’t recommend an apprenticeship in this industry any more.
I am a multi-skilled apprentice based at Denaby and joined AW in April 2017. I really enjoy the panel aspect of the whole repair process. However, I’ve just started learning prep and paint and i’m already really enjoying it –
I love the fact we can go down the multi-skilled route and see what skill we think suits us best, plus I like learning whilst i’m earning! AW have put so much effort and support into me and the other apprentices to help us progress, it’s really encouraging!
I joined AW in 2020 at their Markham Vale site as a multi-skilled apprentice. I chose an apprenticeship because I wanted to learn new skills in something I have always wanted to do.
I have learnt how to strip and fit vehicles, the paint prep side and I’ve already been in the spraybooth priming and lacquering vehicles – that was great as I am enjoying the paint side the most at present. Seeing the final result after repairing a vehicle is very satisfying!
I joined AW in Nottingham in November 2017 as a multi-skilled apprentice. I really enjoyed learning how to plastic weld, but I really cannot wait to train further in my whites, in a spraybooth with a spray gun in my hand.
I love being an apprentice within this industry and at AW, my day is very varied and i’m kept busy working on all sorts of cars, plus the support I get from the team is great, they’re always willing to help to progress my knowledge and further my skills.
I joined AW in 2019 at Markham Vale as a Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Apprentice. I chose an apprenticeship because I get the best of both worlds, I learn new skills daily and get to earn a wage at the same time.
So far I have learnt how to strip and refit vehicles, carry out vehicle diagnostics and 4-wheel alignment checks. I have already achieved level 1 and 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Diplomas but I am really looking forward to learning more aspects of the repair process.
I joined AW’s site in Boston in 2020 as a multi-skilled apprentice, after starting an MET apprenticeship in 2018.
I love learning different repair techniques and I’m gaining a better understanding of vehicle repairs. I can confidently strip down vehicle bumpers and carry out other MET aspects, but I am looking forward to learning more whilst I earn money.
AW are providing me with support and training and I’m loving working on all the different vehicles that come in to be repaired.
