AW Repair Group was delighted to support a momentous celebration of motoring history this weekend.

British Racing Motors, founded by Raymond Mays in the small Lincolnshire town of Bourne, on Sunday marked the 50th anniversary of Graham Hill winning the Grand Prix in their race car.

In a poignant moment the champion’s son, Damon Hill, himself a Grand Prix winner, drove his father’s car through the Lincolnshire town as 25,000 enthusiasts lined the streets.

AW’s Commercial Development Co-Ordinator Anna Wooster commented: “We are so proud to have been involved in this fantastic day marking Bourne’s massive contribution to the world of motor racing. The atmosphere was fantastic as people joined together to witness this grand prix blend of old and new.”

April’s Open Day Porsche Driving Experience Winner

“Just wanted to say another thank you for the awesome Porsche driving experience, it was a brilliant day. I’ve always thought they were a beautiful car but actually driving one blew my mind. Most of the time was spent on the track doing various challenges on wet & dry parts of the course all of which showed off the cars potential, I even managed to have a drive on the public highway too, which I kept to the speed limit on…..!! And the food in the restaurant afterwards was 1st class. I’ve put another driving experience on my wish list for Santa so fingers crossed.

Thanks again
