The group’s Lincolnshire operation will also relocate to the 17,000 sq ft development adjacent to its current site with the £1.2m project due to be complete by January 2012.
Managing Director Andrew Walsh said: “We have outgrown our existing premises in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, and have designed a high tech facility around the future needs of the industry.”
The new development will include Symach drying technology, full aluminium capability, while you wait repair processes with customer wi-fi lounge, central point of notification hub and training facility.

The bodyshop group’s South Nottinghamshire branch manager James Dunn was winner of the Personal Development award and the group was the winner of the Most Switched On Business award for use of technology within a business at the 2009 regional business awards sponsored by Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Chamber of Commerce.
Guest of honor, Nick Hewer, known for his stern bespectacled watch over contestants on their 12-week BBC-filmed interview to become Sir Alan’s Apprentice, congratulated all the winners at a glittering prize ceremony on Wednesday (25th November, 2009).
AW Repair Group has been praised as one of the top three best bodyshops in the UK for outstanding customer care.
The group was named in Bodyshop Magazine’s Customer Care category at the national bodyshop awards ceremony – the bodyshop industry’s equivalent to the Oscars (September 2009).
AW Repair Group’s Sleaford crash repair centre has been accredited with the Volkswagen Group Paint and Body Approval.
The manufacturer approval, which includes the Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda brands, recognises the company’s commitment to the brand’s repair techniques and technology.

AW Repair Group’s Newark (Nottinghamshire) site has recently gained the PAS125 Kitemark licence just nine months after opening its doors for business.
The site is managed by James Dunn who carefully hand picked his team and is exceptionally pleased at how well they have performed together.
James said: “Achieving such a standard when team has been working together for only nine months is an achievement in itself.”
The site, which currently employs 7 technicians on the shopfloor, plans a staged growth to meet its targets over the next 12 months.

AW Repair Group’s Sleaford site has become the first in Lincolnshire to achieve the Thatcham BSI Kitemark, just eight weeks after its South Yorkshire site was accredited.
Managing Director Andrew Walsh said: “Everyone in the AW Group has gained so much from the whole process and I am very proud that both sites can now display the Kitemark with pride.”
Many of the required procedures and processes that were highlighted following a gap analysis at South Yorkshire were implemented at the Lincolnshrie site, particularly in relation to future staff development.

AW Repair Centres is putting emphasis on customer service to drive it forward in the the independent accident repair market.
Each motorist is given a letter with the phone number for the group’s customer car team, plus a direct line to their bodyshop manager, in case they have any queries.
During the repair, customers are given updates every three days, and once worker is completed the car is returned with a guarantee mirror hanger and postage-paid customer satisfaction questionnaire.
“I want AW Accident Repair Centres to be known for quality of repair and quality of customer service,” said managing director Andrew Walsh.
Managing Director Andrew Walsh is delighted the bodyshop, which was purpose built on a greenfield site only three years ago, has achieved the high standards set by the accreditation.
“The process is very rigorous and everyone involved is to be congratulated,” said Andrew. “Since branch manager Ian Pearson joined us in September we have been working towards the Kitemark at the South Yorkshire site. Ian is very focused on all the accreditation stands for and is justifiably proud of the achievement and his team.”
The group’s Lincolnshire site has already had a successful pre-licence visit with BSI and is in line to also become accredited by late spring.
